2015 Runtime Systems Workshop

The Runtime Systems Workshop will be held at the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD. The workshop will begin on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 1:00 pm and end on Friday, March 13, 2015, around 5:00 pm.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE(S): This workshop will review the state-of-the-art in runtime systems and identify the challenges addressed by the various runtime systems currently being pursued under the various research programs. Goals of this workshop are:

  1. Identify research questions that need to be resolved within the context of current experience and knowledge,
  2. Devise metric, measures, benchmarks, and means for testing and evaluation for prototypes of runtime systems,
  3. Discuss a research and development roadmap that will result in one or more prototype, high quality runtime system software packages. Create a straw-man example of the roadmap.
