The objective of this project is to support the co-design of extreme scale system architectures for compute- and data-centric science through research and development of novel methods for visualization and analysis of large-scale, parallel event-driven simulations. The project will:

  • Aid in understanding parallel discrete event simulations (PDES) of interest to ASCR and make PDES more useful to DOE scientists and computer scientists.
  • Develop in situ methods for data management and visualization to support exploratory and diagnostic analysis at varying granularities.
  • Design methods for co-analysis of model-level data and simulation-level data to connect simulation framework behavior with model behavior.
